It was during a trip to the Atlantic Coast that Peer and his wife fell in love with Vicentina Coast. Since sports had been part of their lives for many years, they decided to move to Portugal and turn their passion for outdoor activities into a way of life.
Operating since 2006, Algarve Adventure offers its clients activities such as Surf, Mountain Bike Riding, Rock Climbing and family oriented adventure programs, while enjoying this magnificent part of the country. All their instructors have college degrees in related areas such as physical education and tourism, as well as special training for each specific activity.
Algarve Adventure offers surf classes for beginners, and advanced surfers. Classes take place at Amoreira, Monte Clérigo and Arrifana beaches, throughout all year, individually or in small groups (up to 8 people) and last for three hours. All equipment is available – surf boards and wet suits – and at the end of classes surfers may continue to use it, waves and surfer endurance permitting. Surfers may also rent the equipment and have it delivered at their lodging or favourite beach.
If you're into mountain bike riding, you may choose from renting mountain bikes that will be delivered at your lodging or guided tours of different types and duration, depending on your fitness level. With this area's temperate climate and Algarve Adventure's high quality mountain bikes, one can enjoy the hills, mountains and trails throughout the year, the best way to discover this region.
Whether you're a beginner or experienced rock climber, the possibilities are endless, from beach cliff/rock climbing to mountain spots suitable for this sport. As with any of its activities, safety comes first. That is why adequate equipment and certified guides are available, as well as sports insurance. You can also opt for family oriented adventure programs. From the beach to the forest, the different types of activities Algarve Adventure offers are of a motivational nature, where team spirit prevails.
Algarve Adventure headquarters are located at Vale da Telha, Aljezur, a privileged location for the practice of ocean and surrounding mountains related activities, a unique set of conditions offered by the Southwest Alentejo and Vicentina Coast Natural Park.
