Três Marias, or "Three Maries", located between the villages of Porto Covo and Vila Nova de Milfontes, offers 10 rooms in a beautiful setting on the countryside, where nights are spent between candle lights and the stars above, with flashes of North African inspiration.

I n a beautiful country house where the owner lives, there are 2 double rooms, and in another area of the property equally pleasant 8 other. The decor is simple in its linen and cotton whiteness, full of light and cool in the summer but cozily warm in the wintertime. All rooms are independent, with on-suite bathrooms, a smal I leisure area and an inviting porch – to take naps or have unhurried breakfasts in.

At Três Marias the landscape is wide and varied, downhill through the fields and onto a meadow with cork oaks and uphill again all the way up to Cercal Mountain Ridge. Just a short distance from the beautiful beaches of Aivados and Malhão and surrounded by the Agro-forest Ecological Reserve, this is the perfect location for long walks, bike, donkey or horse-back rides along the trails that the owner knows so well and is happy to suggest. At night don’t forget to look towards the clear Alentejo skies perfect for a reading of the cosmos.
